Service Businesses! Want An SEO Agency Who Can Actually Get Results?

We Are A Pure

Performance Based SEO Agency Australia

Are you looking to get more customers or clients and grow your business?

SEO is one of the best, most cost effective ways to get customers for many service businesses.

It’s been proven that Google organic traffic is the highest converting traffic on the internet.

People have taken time out of their day to search for something online, and by getting in front of them without having to pay for ads, you can essentially get an unlimited amount of very high quality traffic for “free”.

The problem is, it can be very hard to find an SEO agency who actually knows what they are doing to get your website to rank and show up in front of these potential customers.

You see, this is because there is no barrier to entry in the SEO industry.

Any kid in their bedroom can start an “SEO agency”, and it can be very difficult to separate the professionals from the amateurs until 6-12 months down the line when you’ve already spent tens of thousands of dollars and lost months of time and didn’t get any results.

Unfortunately, I’ve heard this exact story from countless business owners.

In fact, this is probably more common than stories of SEO agencies who actually did a good job.

The other problem is that even if you find an SEO specialist who can get you results, they typically charge thousands of dollars per month.

This means you’ll have to front anywhere from $6000 to $24000+ over a 6 to 12 month period before you see a return.

Many service businesses can’t afford to do that.

And many more won’t after being burned one, two or even three times by marketing agencies. And rightly so.

Well, I’ve got a solution the not only allows businesses with a limited budget to benefit from SEO, but it also removes all of the risk from their end.

At Dominate Marketing, we have a proven track record for getting results for service businesses in Australia including law firms, concreters, builders, plumbers and automotive businesses.

Unlike most SEO agencies, we know for a fact that what we do works, and we are willing to back this up.

Instead of charging you a monthly retainer of thousands of dollars per month whether you get results or not…

We work on a pure performance basis.

What this means is that we will take the risk on our end to do the work, and you only pay for the results we actually generate you.

This means you are GUARANTEED to get results, or you simply don’t pay.

This also makes it affordable for businesses with a small budget to get off the ground and start growing, when they normally would not be able to afford to do so.

So why do we do this?

Our goal is to establish as many long term relationships as possible where we both grow and benefit in the long run.

What most people don’t know is that most marketing agencies operate on a “churn and burn” model.

Meaning that they sell as many people as possible, expecting most of them to leave in a couple of months when they don’t get any results.

But by this point, the agency has already made their money.

This is why you hear so many horror stories of thousands of dollars spent with no results.

We work in literally the opposite way.

We know that what we do works, and as a result we are willing to partner with businesses who understand the value of what we are doing, to help them get off the ground and grow so that we can all benefit long term.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, just click the button below to fill out the application and we’ll see if this will work for you and if we’re a good fit.

How Our Performance Based SEO Offer Works

Unlike most SEO agencies who will charge you a few thousand dollars in monthly retainers and lock you into a contract for 12-24 months (and usually fail to deliver results), we do none of that.

We work on a pure performance basis, meaning we do the work and you only pay for the results we actually get you, AFTER you get them.

Typically this is done on a pay-per-lead basis.

However, we will discuss this with you to find a deal that works in your particular situation.

How It Works

Money-Making Websites

The point of a website is to convert people into paying customers.

When we start working together, we will either build you a new, completely optimized website or optimize your current one to ensure that it does it’s job at making you money.

That includes everything from design to writing the content to building out the pages and putting it all together.

(And this website is yours to keep forever).

Google Ads allows us to put together a marketing campaign that is going to get you immediate results.

Once we launch the ads, you will quickly begin to see enquiries and sales, making you profit usually in the first 30 days.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Search Engine Optimization is the foundation of our system.

It is the longer term strategy that will ensure your business continues to grow without having to spend more money on ads.

As we continue to optimize your website, it will show up for more and more searches on Google, which leads to exponentially more business and a higher return because you don’t pay for that traffic.

As part of the SEO process, we optimize all aspects of your website as well as off-site assets such as your Google Business Profile.

There is no point of running an advertising campaign or doing SEO if people land on a website that does a bad job at selling your services.

As professional copywriters, we structure your content in a tested-and-proven manner that “pre-sells” potential customers that you are their best solution, making them want to buy from you specifically.

This gets you more sales and makes customers easier to close.

What gets measured gets done, and we measure everything.

Basically, our SEO company offers everything required for a successful SEO campaign that will generate your business leads and sales.

SEO results can be measured by a number of factors, most commonly search engine rankings, website traffic and leads.

When it comes to search engine rankings, you can expect to rank on the first page of search engines for dozens of keywords relating to your specific business. You’ll usually see your first page 1 rankings for less competitive keywords within the first 60-90 days. For more competitive keywords, this could take anywhere from 6-12 months or even longer in very competitive industries.

However, you will start seeing traffic very early on, even if your main keywords are not on page 1.

This is because you will rank for many related “long tail” keywords which will bring in traffic.

You’ll usually see at least a few hundred visitors per month within 90 days.

In terms of leads, we usually see about 1-5 leads in the first month, 5-10 in the second and typically anywhere from 50-100 leads per month within the first 12 months.

This depends entirely on a number of factors including what you sell, who your target market is, and whether they are actually looking for it on Google.

It’s all well and good paying for SEO services and ranking on page 1 of search engines, but if no one is searching the keywords you rank for to find your services then it’s a waste of time and money.

Typically speaking, if you offer a service that people know to look for – things like law firms, plumbers, electricians, mechanics – running an SEO campaign is usually a good option.

However, if you are selling something that people do not look for, like a new product or a service to a very specific market, then a different form of digital marketing where you can get in front of them is better is most cases.

This is something that we will advise you on after speaking with you and finding out what your offer is.

SEO is an ongoing process and there really is no end to it. This is because it’s a constant competition, so even if you don’t necessarily want to grow more, your competition will still be improving and eventually you will start falling behind.

However, as a general timeline, you can expect to see noticeable results about 6 months after we start your SEO campaign. The general rule is that anything you do today in SEO, you will see the results of in 3-6 months.

The really big results typically come closer to the 9-12 month mark.

If you need customers right now, SEO is probably not the best solution for you.

This is because, realistically speaking, it will take 6-9 months to see any kind of real results.

If you need customers right now, you need a much faster method of getting them.

Typically this will be some form of paid digital marketing, such as Google Ads or maybe even Facebook Ads depending on what you are offering and who your target market is.

The short answer is no, you don’t HAVE to use an SEO agency. There is nothing stopping you from learning SEO yourself.

However, the benefit of hiring an SEO agency is that it will cut down the time and cost it takes to get results.

SEO is an extremely complex process with many layers, and the feedback loop is very long.

What this means is if you are learning to do SEO, you have to wait months before you know if what you just did worked.

If you are running a business, especially if you rely on it for your income, those months are absolutely crucial to get right.

So the idea behind hiring an SEO agency is that they will know what to do now so that there is no guessing game as to whether your business will grow or not.

A digital marketing agency can be the same thing as an SEO agency, though typically digital marketing agencies offer many channels of marketing along side SEO.

While some believe this is a good thing, what that usually means in reality is that they are just not that good at any of them as a specialist would be.

An SEO agency specialising specifically in SEO is far more likely to know what they are doing and get you better results faster than a generalist digital marketing agency who offers lots of different services.

In the case of our SEO agency, we only offer search engine optimisation and Google Ads. The reason we offer Google Ads is because it is complementary to search engine optimisation, and there are many similarities.

There are a few things to check when considering a digital marketing agency to increase the chances that they will be able to get you results.

Having a proven track record of successful SEO campaigns is typically a good sign, especially if they are in the same or similar industries as yours.

The structure of their offer is also something to look out for.

Many SEO agencies will make you sign a contract which locks you into a minimum term.

While this is not necessarily a negative, you want to make sure there is some sort of performance expectation on their part.

You don’t want to just be locked into a contract and the SEO specialists are not obligated to fulfil on anything (you’d be amazed how often this is the case).

You should look for an SEO agency who offers some sort of performance-based deal which means they have an incentive to deliver on their promises to get paid.

There are two main reasons:

  1. There is no barrier to entry for starting an SEO agency. You don’t need any qualifications or certification.
  2. There is no official place to learn SEO, and no standard to go by.

What this means is that not only can anybody start an SEO company whether they know what they are doing or not, but there’s nowhere they can go to learn from either.

So they either have to experiment for themselves to find out what works, get a job with an agency and learn from them or find an online course and hope what that course teaches actually works (usually it doesn’t).

On top of that, the reality is that most people see SEO as an easy way to make some money online, and don’t actually care to get great results for their clients.

So not only do most people not know what they are doing, but few of them even care that they don’t.

The problem for a potential client is that it can be next to impossible to differentiate who the actual SEO specialists are, and who is not, before they’ve already spend thousands of dollars and months of time to find out.

This is why you hear of so many stories of people being burned by SEO companies.

We believe we are the best SEO company for a number of reasons:

  • We have a proven track record getting results for over a dozen businesses
  • We offer a performance-based pricing structure where you only pay if we get you results (which we will)
  • We have direct experience working with a wide range of service based businesses across Australia and understand both the local market and what it takes to rank on Google’s search results

Yes we do provide custom SEO services.

While we have a general framework we use for each campaign, we also develop customised SEO strategies for every client we work with to ensure the best results.

Each industry, location and business is slightly different, and as such we need to adapt SEO campaigns to get the most out of it for each particular case.

This could mean focusing more on link building for one website, or more specific type of content for another.

When we start working with a new client, the first thing we do is put together a SEO strategy for that specific case.

This ensures that you get the most out of our SEO services and we get you the best results in the shortest amount of time.

We use a range of SEO tools for various tasks within the SEO campaigns we run.

Some of the common tools include:

  • Semrush for keyword research
  • Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager for tracking website traffic and conversions
  • Google Search Console
  • Surfer SEO for content optimisation
  • And more

There are a few key things we track when it comes to SEO results.

The first and most common one is search engine rankings. This tells us is what we are doing is working and if the website is actually showing up for the keywords we are targeting.

The next is website traffic. This tells us if people are actually getting to the website, and from which keywords and for which pages. This can help us see if we are targeting the correct type of traffic to get you the results you are looking for.

Then we track what happens on the website and if these people are turning into leads. We want to make sure that people are actually taking the actions we want them to on the website and contacting you to use your services.

Once we know these things, we can optimise various parts of the website and the SEO campaign to get even better results – typically more relevant traffic and leads.

Using a SEO company in Australia, or at least one that has experience working with Australian businesses, is typically a good idea. SEO companies in Australia are more likely to understand the local marketing and what it will take to compete and rank on Australian search results.

What most people don’t know is that each region has a slightly different algorithm on Google’s search engines, so what works in one place may not necessarily work in another.

On top of that, understanding the local marketing allows SEO companies in Australia to write content in a way that will appeal to people in that market, increasing the chances that they will buy.

It depends on the situation.

In many cases, Google Ads is a great way to speed up getting sales while the search engine optimisation is being done and begins to show results. This is something we often do for businesses who want faster growth and have the budget for ad spend.

However, in other instances it is possible to thin yourself out too early and begin focusing on too many channels, especially if you have a small budget, and you’ll just end up with worse results on all of them.

It’s also important to consider that different marketing channels, such as social media marketing, are very different to search engine optimisation, and will attract and entirely different type of traffic.

As such, just because something is working on the search engine results, does not mean it will work well on social media.

This is something that we will advise you on when we analyse your business to see what your best options are for your specific situation.

The short answer is yes.

If you look at page 1 of Google, you will see that all the results have a high number of backlinks, and the more competitive the keyword, the more backlinks they have.

This indicates that backlinks impact SEO ranking quite a lot.

On top of that, there are very few if any instances of websites with no backlinks at all ranking for practically any keyword, let alone keywords that have a lot of competition.

What this tells us is that search engines clearly use backlinks as a factor to determine which websites it should show in the search results.

Keyword research is the foundation of the entire SEO strategy.

By performing the right keyword research at the beginning, we are essentially setting targets for what we are aiming for, and ensuring they are the right targets to get you the results you want.

The keyword research we conduct, and the keywords we choose to target, will dictate how we optimise your website, write and optimise the content, and do any off-page SEO.

Whenever we start a new SEO campaign, we also do a thorough analysis of your specific market and the keywords your potential customers are using to find services like yours.

From here we will know what needs to be done to target these keywords and get your website in the search engine results pages.

How you acquire backlinks can make or break your SEO campaign, and in worst-case scenarios even lead to a Google penalty.

Therefore, you have to be super careful which websites you build backlinks on and how you acquire them.

Technically, it is against Google’s guidelines to buy backlinks.

We take a very safe approach to getting backlinks.

First we start by making citations on business directories to get brand mentions and your NAPW (name, address, phone number, website) listed across various website.

This helps with local SEO and helps to establish your business as “real” in Google’s eyes.

We also focus on building quality content on your website, which is likely to get linked to and shared around.

This is the most natural and scalable way to acquire backlinks.

One good piece of content could literally get you hundreds of backlinks. If you were to try and purchase this many links, it would cost you tens of thousands of dollars.

But on top of that, they are all natural links and don’t have any risk associated with them.

In certain situations that call for it, we may also employ other link building methods such as press releases and potentially reaching out to specific websites to get a link, if we think it will truly benefit your SEO campaign.

The overall goal of our link building strategy is to ensure there is no risk to your website over the long term, while increasing your website authority.

No.

There is a massive difference in the quality of backlinks, and which ones you acquire will greatly impact your SEO success.

High quality backlinks from websites Google trusts can make a huge different to your website’s authority and therefore your rankings.

However, too many links from bad or spammy websites and not only can you actually drop in the rankings, you can actually get a manual action penalty from Google.

This is why you have to be very careful which websites you acquire links on.

Anything that looks unnatural to Google can harm your SEO results.

This is why we take a very safe and natural approach to link building with our SEO services, to ensure long term results.

At our SEO company, whether we start a new campaign we also do a thorough competitor analysis to see who is currently ranking for our target keywords and what they are doing.

Google is telling us what it wants to see by placing certain websites on page 1 of the search engine results. This means that we need to do the same thing if we want to rank.

Conducting competitor analysis will quickly reveal what kind of content we need to write, how long it needs to be, how many domain authority we need to aim for, how many backlinks we need and much more.

From here, we will know what our targets are and what we need to do if we are going to dominate your competition and get you to number 1 in Google’s search results.

No.

We do not use any black hat SEO methods at all.

While black hat SEO can be alluring due to the idea that you will get faster results, they are typically very short lived and will cause more harm than good to businesses who intend to be around for the long haul.

Black hat SEO is really only useful in industries that regular tactics just don’t work. But this is an entirely different story and requires a completely different SEO strategy to capitalise on this, and is not something we partake in.

For most normal service businesses, there is no need to go into the world of black hat SEO.

Web design does have an impact on search engine optimisation.

There are many technical factors of a website that will dictate how Google “reads” it, and in turn where it decides to rank it on the search results.

A large part of any SEO campaign is on-page SEO and technical SEO, both of which, in combination, optimise practically all parts of the website from page speed to the content to ensure that the website meets Google’s criteria and is likely to rank.

However, the specific colours and design elements of a website design with have little impact on SEO.

You do need a website in order to have something to actually rank on search engines.

However, you don’t necessarily need one before using our SEO services.

If you do not currently have a website, we will let you know what your options are and can set one up for you which will be SEO optimised. This is part of our SEO services.

Content marketing plays a huge role when it comes to ranking in search engine results pages.

In fact, content is practically the cornerstone for any successful SEO strategy. Without the right content, you basically stand no chance of ranking on search engines.

Content marketing also allows you to rank for a wide range of different keywords and funnel in a lot more traffic from search engines than you would otherwise get if you only focused on your main keyword.

It also helps to build trust with your target market, as well as capture people who might not be ready to buy now but might come back later.

All this helps to increase your rankings, traffic, brand awareness and ultimately sales.

Indirectly, social media can have some impact on keyword rankings.

Search engines like Google look at a wide range of factors to determine where it will rank a website, and user signals are one of those factors.

If you have a lot of people coming from social media to your website, especially if people stay on your website and take actions (completing conversion), that indicates to Google that people do, in fact, like what they see.

This can impact your keyword rankings over time, and help to increase them.

However, this in itself should not be the focus on your SEO strategy, as without all the other factors, it will have very little impact.

The cost of SEO services can vary wildly depending on your specific needs as well as who is delivering the service.

Most agencies charge a monthly retainer for SEO services, though others may ask for a percentage of profits.

Typically speaking, local service based businesses can expect to pay somewhere in the range of $1500-$3000 per month for SEO specialists who are actually good.

Below that, and you are getting into the territory of a cheap SEO service that is unlikely to deliver and might even cause your website serious problems, such as a penalty.

However, the pricing structure can also vary greatly, and in the case of our SEO service, we price on a performance basis meaning you will pay less at the beginning until you see results.

We understand how tempting it can be to see a low price for what is perceived to be “the same service” and want to go with that.

The problem is that calling what a cheap SEO company offers “SEO” is the same like calling a used Toyota and a Ferrari a “car”, and thinking you got a better deal on the used Toyota.

They may both be cars, but they are far from the same thing.

In the same way, cheap SEO agencies are cheap for a reason. They don’t provide as good of a service, they usually don’t know what they are doing, and they cut corners to save costs in order to offer the low prices.

Think about it, why would they not charge more money if they could? If they could truly help your business grow and be of value, why can’t they find a way to charge more than rock bottom prices?

The answer is simple. They can’t.

So they are left with no choice but to offer a very low price for their SEO services because they don’t actually offer value to the marketplace.

The problem for business owners considering it, is that they might think they are getting a deal, but they will actually be paying for nothing, and will lose 6-12 months or more when they realise nothing is happening.

So what looked cheap initially, actually ends up costing a lot more, because they ended up paying for nothing while also losing a bunch of time.

No we don’t.

The reason why is because no one other than Google themselves controls Google’s algorithm (and even that’s debatable at this point, but that’s a whole other topic).

What this means is there is no way for us to 100% guarantee a specific position on search engines.

Also, there are so many loopholes with a “guarantee” like this.

For example, what keyword is it for?

We can definitely rank you overnight for some obscure keyword no body searches. But what’s the point?

What truly matters is making sales and growing your business.

Do you care if you are at position 2 or 3 but you are making money?

So rather than focus on rankings, we focus on the much more important factors which are organic traffic, leads and ultimately, sales. And our pricing model is designed to reflect this.

Simple. They are lying.

There are usually a few work arounds they use.

What many SEO companies who offer a claim like this will do is “guarantee” position 1, and then they will run Google Ads to get you there.

Sure, technically you are at the top of the search results, but that’s not really the same thing, is it?

If you stop paying for those ads you immediately disappear again.

Another tactic is to get you to number 1 position for some obscure keyword.

It’s actually very easy to make a website rank for a keyword no one else is ranking for.

For example, if you wanted to rank for some gibberish like “hdfsfikfss”, you could easily just add that to your meta title and H1 headline and you’d probably rank tomorrow.

This is because no one searches this keyword and not a single other website on the internet has bothered to compete with you.

But what’s the point of this? How will it help your business?

This is exactly what these SEO companies do.

They’ll find some obscure keyword that sounds good but not a single person searches, and they’ll get you ranking for that.

But you’ll see no benefit of this to your business.

Others are just blatantly lying to you to try to make a sale, and they will have a clause in the contract to get out of having to actually do it.

Be very wary of any SEO company guaranteeing you a specific ranking position.

There are a couple of red flags to look our for when considering an SEO company.

If you see any of these, you should seriously be considering whether they are really a top SEO agency:

  • Guaranteed rankings (discussed above)
  • Lock-in contracts (unless you are 100% sure about them)
  • No case studies, testimonials or other proof of results
  • Unbelievably cheap prices
  • They offer many different marketing services (not always bad but usually is)
  • They don’t explain why SEO is the best option for your business
  • They try to sell you SEO even if you say you need customers right now (SEO results take a few months, so clearly this is not the best solution)
  • They use black-hat SEO methods
  • They try to sell you on a high number of backlinks or blogs they will deliver
  • They can’t explain why they are doing what they are doing
  • They don’t have a clear SEO strategy for your specific business (they just copy paste)

The answer in most cases is yes, it is usually a good idea to run Google Ads alongside an SEO strategy.

We usually do this for our clients because they are very complementary. Google Ads works very quickly and can get you new customers within the first 30 days, while we work on the SEO over the coming few months.

However, there are a few factors to consider with Google Ads, such as:

  • Do you need (or want) customers right away?
  • Do you have a budget for ad spend?
  • Will the cost per click in your industry be profitable for the prices you charge?

If the answer is yes to all of these, they Google Ads are definitely worth running.

Not really, no.

Google Ads don’t really have any connection to SEO performance.

Some people do argue that they’ve seen an increase in keyword rankings after they run Google Ads.

However, there isn’t really conclusive evidence for this.

It could be argued that you generate positive user signals through the ads, which indicates that people like your website to Google, and this could impact your rankings.

However, the positive impact from this will be minimal at best, and shouldn’t influence your decision on whether or not to run Google Ads.

No.

Because of the way our pricing is structured, we are very selective with who we work with.

Firstly, we want to be absolutely sure that we can get results. So before we take on a new client, we will look into their specific industry and look at what their goals are to determine if what we do is the best solution to achieve this.

Second, we have to be a good fit.

Third, we have to be sure that they are in it for the long term. Our offer means we front a lot of cost and work for every campaign we start, so we need to be absolutely sure that no one is going to change their mind a month or two into it.

Maybe it is too good, but we can assure you it is true. If we determine we can help you, we will do everything we claim here. There is no catch

We work with businesses in all parts of Australia, including:
